<note>The Puranas are very benefacial for he Indian Society since their inception. These are like the ocean and comprise valuable gems. If you have a wider vision to see their importance and have research acumen) you will secret find valuable material such as historical, social, intellectul old episodes about India and its people. All the Puranas are full of worship of the gods and goddesses who teach incantions to diminish, the demonish powers who are enemies of good society. We have a large member of demons, Daityas and Asuras viz. Madhu-Kaitabh, Hiranyaksh Hiranyak-shipu (father of Prahlada) Ravana, Kumbha Kama and Meghnada, Taraka-sura, Mahishasura, Chanda Munda there are shumabh and Nishumbha and others were killed either by Visnu, &va and Goddess Durga respectively. Gods have promised `fo protect Dharma, society and good people-wherever they are in trouble due to Asuras : The Matsyamahapurana is one of the oldest and considered as the original Purana. Here are four Puranas viz Matsya Purana, Visnu Purana, Vayu Purana and Brahmanda Puranas, these are historicaly important and are valuable for social history of the country.</note>
